Autumn's End
And so we come to the end of my favorite time of year, and sort of abruptly at that. We already have about eight inches of snow here. It's byoo-tee-ful.

AbeBoxx
I'm a huge fan of the Oddworld video game franchise, and it is easily one of my biggest influences as an artist. In particular, artists Farzad Varahramyan and Raymond Swanland inspired me in ways I could not put into words.
The original Oddworld team (Oddworld Inhabitants) is no more, but a UK-based indie developer known as Just Add Water has picked up where the original creators left off. J.A.W. is exactly what an indie company should be; games made by the fans for the fans.
One such fan, who I met in the early aughts through an Oddworld fan forum, now works as J.A.W.'s studio coordinator. He approached me with some graphic design work that their in-house artists couldn't complete because they were bogged down by other responsibilities. The opportunity was too good to pass up.
I was almost certain J.A.W.'s ceo, Stewart Gilray, would have some revision notes for me, but he didn't! All the feels when someone tells you your work is perfect. I may or may not be working on a few more of these in the future. I'll be sure to post about them here if that ends up being the case.

Sid
I was totally unaware of Tank Girl when I first came up with this character. Honest!
A lot of problems with this drawing structurally, but I'm happy with the color.

Autumn Snooze
Autumn is easily my favorite time of year, and the pumpkin cache grows every day

O mah gourd! |
I'm picky when it comes to muh gherkins, especially this year. Some of these beauties will be starring in a short film I'm working on. More on that soon, assuming I dedicate what little free time I have to personal enterprises and not Dark Souls (or Dark Souls 2).

Back in business (sort of)
So it's been over a month since I've had a working PC. It's been exhausting, but I finally figured out and rectified the problem... more or less. For a while I thought it was the power supply, then I did some troubleshooting and thought it was the motherboard, some more troubleshooting, and finally I reach the end of the shrubbery maze; my primary hard drive was toast. This sucks, as a lot of my important client work was on this drive. Normally I save back-ups of everything to an external drive, but I got a bit lazy in my hastiness to meet deadlines and made the mistake of saving some of my work to the desktop.
I replaced the hard drive with a fresh install of Windows, and I have been working off of it since. There's still a glimmer of hope for my old hard drive, but it's a matter of money, and I'm woefully short.
I'll be pulling a few all-nighters in the coming weeks to catch up on the work I've missed. More to come.
